As a photojournalist and photographer, I capture candid, delicate, and powerful moments that tell intricate stories and sustain memories. I've created projects under high-intensity conditions, including at high altitude, and photographed behind the scenes of high profile events. I'm based in the United States and have spent extensive time on projects in Northern Chile, covering complex stories in Spanish.
As I grow up, I'm learning how the moments that pass so quickly write our stories. I'm drawn to the details. We can tell these stories creatively and timelessly through every milestone and each little memory.
My portfolio includes stories for Inter Press Service News Agency, the Indiana Daily Student, wedding and event photography, gorgeous landscapes, timeless portraits, and capturing a summer at camp in Maine. Across my work, I explore the intimate connections between individual stories, society, and environment. My visual reporting techniques draw on methods based on the Photo Voices Method - a geographical and anthropological approach to ethical photojournalism.
Outside of taking photos, I am spending every moment that I can with the people in my life and going on adventures. I love excessively long train rides, good conversations at a coffee shop, and never knowing where life will take you next. I studied geography at Indiana University and wrote my thesis on mining development and water resources in Chile's Atacama Desert. I was based in the Arica and Parinacota region of the altiplano where I investigated a timely case study and incorporated visual methods along the watershed.
